Privacy Notice - Donors and Ambassadors

Use of Personal Data

Designs in Mind ("We") and the site's associated Data Processor, Sponsorcraft Ltd (Hubbub), will hold and process your (non-financial) data securely in line with the EU's laws related to the storing of personal data. Your data will be treated confidentially and handled with the utmost care and respect and is never passed on to third parties for their uses.

Your data will not be used for any other purpose than that specifically related to the stated purpose for which it was provided. Thus, ambassador information is used to keep track of ambassadors and the messages they share, as well as enabling them to share messages. Donor information is just used to process donations, although there is an option for donors to display their name or amount donated on the donor wall should they wish.

The (non-financial) data that we collect from you for processing is stored in Dublin, Ireland, hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), in line with the EU-approved AWS Data Protection Agreement and Model Clauses.

Donations

Information related to donations is processed by Stripe, the Data Processor for financial data. Sponsorcraft Ltd (Hubbub) is the Data Processor for non-financial personal identification data (name, address, etc.) of donors however.

Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. If you would like to read Stripe's privacy policy you may do so here (https://stripe.com/gb/privacy). Stripe does not keep most payment data for more than a few minutes, the exceptions being payment card type, last 4 digits of card and expiry date. They also store the donor name (unless making an anonymous donation) and postcode. This information is accessible to authorised personnel at Designs in Mind that have log-in access to Stripe. Donors can additionally choose (during the donation process) whether or not their name or the amount of their donation is displayed on the donor wall on the SmashingStigma website.

Third Party Sites

If you agree to create a login for the site using your social media account (facebook or twitter), you will be doing so in agreement with the privacy policy associated with AddThis, which can be read here (http://www.addthis.com/privacy/privacy-policy/).

Creating an account using your social media account is optional, and should you prefer to use another method of creating an account, you may also create an account using a valid email address, providing other personal identification details when it may be required to do so on the site (for example, creating projects or making a donation projects that you wish to support).

Data-Subject Rights

At the end of the Smashing Stigma campaign, we shall arrange to erase all personal data held about donors and ambassadors, held by our data processor, Sponsorcraft Ltd (Hubbub). If however consent is explicitly given for personal information to be used for another purpose at the end of the campaign, such as consent to be contacted or for publicity purposes, Designs in Mind may ourselves keep relevant personal information beyond that period. You may however request to have your data erased before the end of the campaign, including ambassadors who no longer wish to participate.

Donors and ambassadors may also request to see a copy of all information held about them, though for security reasons precise details pertaining to payment cards (last 4 digits, type and expiry date) held by the payment processor, Stripe, will not be disclosed. Donors wishing to erase data held by Stripe, which also includes name (if not an anonymous donor) and postcode, can also request this through Designs in Mind, though it should be noted that for legal reasons Stripe may have to keep the data for a set time period.
